Yesterday I was at an inspiring demo day from Longshot Space. Watching the CEO talk, seeing the demo - it was insanely inspiring.

There building a giant potato cannon! They’re getting paid to build a giant potato cannon!

Like always, it makes me realize - I can do this.

One of my core takeaways from SF is there is no special sauce, founders aren't cut from rarified cloth, they're just unemployed and focus on a single thing. I can do that

Listening in on the CEO of Longshot talking about starting the company, he had an interesting idea:

I ranked ideas on two dimensions - how interested I was, and how difficult the idea was. Longshot was the most interesting and the most difficult.

What this really hints at is just do what you’re most interested in, difficulty be damned. Think in orders of magnitudes, double check it worths in theory - but don’t be afraid of hard work.
